Luxor – Aswan (Nile Cruise)

Abu Simbel – Aswan (Lake Nasser Cruise)

Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1 :

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, our representative will accompany you to the cruise ship by bus. In the afternoon, lunch will be served in the restaurant on board. Afterwards, an Egyptologist guide will take you to the East Bank where you can visit the Karnak Temple (one of the greatest temples and most important religious buildings in the world built within 2000 years!)

Afterwards, a visit to the Luxor temple that was dedicated to the royalty renewal, where many Egyptian pharaohs were crowned. Then we’ll return to our cruise for a delicious, freshly prepared dinner. You can then explore Luxor by a horse-drawn carriage wandering around Luxor, and you’ll have your first overnight stay on board.

  • Day 2 :

We’ll wake up early and enjoy our first breakfast on board as the sun slowly rises overthe Nile before our amazing West Bank tour begins. The West Bank tour begins with avisit to the Great Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground where the tombs of the pharaohs were built from 1539 to 1075 BC. Then we’ll head to the Temple of Hatshepsut (Al-Deir Al-Bahari), the most powerful and prolific queen in Egyptian history and move to see the Colossi of Memnon, the two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III standing at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.

Getting back to the boat, it will continue sailing to Edfu through Esna’s Lock.

  • Day 3 :

After the morning breakfast, the Calesh will take you to Edfu temple (the site of the

Ptolemaic Temple dedicated to Horus and an ancient settlement). By carriage we’ll go back to the boat and start navigating for more than 5 hours to “Kom Ombo”, enjoying the Egyptian landscapes, and watching the farmers working in the farm fields until we arrive at Kom Ombo’s unique temple that has a 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods. The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the Crocodile God “Sobek”, God of strength, where you’ll find rooms specified for mummified crocodiles.

Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris ("Horus the Elder"). Afterwards, we’ll return to the boat and sail to Aswan, where you will stay overnight.

  • Day 4 :

A tour to Philae temple, the High Dam and have some free time to explore Aswan's markets which are popular for their spices and colors.

  • Day 5 :

In the early morning, we'll take a bus for the final tour from Aswan to Abu Simbel and visit two temples: a great temple dedicated to Ramesses II and a smaller temple dedicated to Ramesses II's wife Queen Nefertari, both facing Lake Nasser.

(There’s also a possibility to visit the sound and light in the evening before spending your first night on the Lake Nasser cruise).

After that, we’ll aboard the cruise to take us back to Aswan through Lake Nasser.

  • Day 6 :

The boat will leave for Qasr Ibrim early in the morning while you take in the magnificent dawn on Lake Nasser. Qasr Ibrim was once a significant economic, political, and religious centre.

It has a long history of occupation for a very long time, from the eighth century BC to AD 1813. The boat will next make its way to Amada, where you may visit the Pennut Tomb, Temple of Derr, and Amada Temple. Following that tour, the boat will head to Wadi Al Seboua, and during that you will watch a live Nubian Show that will introduce you to their culture.

  • Day 7 :

The journey to Wadi El Seboua will begin early in the morning. Two "New Kingdom" temples are located there, along with the Temple of Dakka, the Temple of Maharraqa, and a trip to the well-known "Valley of the Lions," which is a sphinx-lined avenue leading to the oldest of the two "New Kingdom" structures. After that, the boat will make its way to Aswan, where you will spend the night on board.

  • Day 8:

In the morning, our Egyptologist guide will take you to visit Kalabsha Temples which was primarily dedicated to the Nubian god Mandulis.

And here the journey comes to an end, then we’ll drive you to Aswan airport for your flight.
